Thinking of a backyard Wedding? Backyard or Backyard Farm Weddings have been a popular choice in the Shelburne, Orangeville, Barrie & Muskoka areas & other GTA locations. Have you thought about a backyard Wedding? Read on for several reasons why backyard Weddings seem to be a popular trend.
Backyard Weddings require a lot of planning. There are a lot of details to organize. Kirsten & Kyle had always had their heart set on becoming husband and wife on their lovely backyard farm property in Shelburne Ontario.
First of all pick a theme:
They met because of broken trucks, belong to a tractor club & own several old tractors and so it would only be fitting for Kirsten & Kyle to have a tractor themed/farm wedding for their Wedding day.
They did a heck of a job organizing the day even with a pandemic in the midst. They followed all protocol to ensure they were able to have their intimate Wedding at their home and it was beautiful despite the bouts of rain, wind and a pandemic in the midst of it all.
One of the reasons a backyard Wedding is so popular is because they are much more intimate, you can spend more time together & the timeline is a bit more relaxed, although it's a good idea to keep on schedule. Kirsten & Kyle's first look photos are stunning, all taking place in their backyard surrounded by trees and plenty of greenery.
Another reason Backyard Weddings are trending is because you can focus on family time, play a few backyard games, have a food truck. Backyard Weddings are great way to spend quality time with family members in the outdoors.
Backyard Weddings make a gorgeous backdrop for photos, especially with lots of greenery or gardens.
It was a bit windy, but Kirsten was a good sport and didn't mind at all. She enjoyed every moment of her Wedding day, taking in a deep breath with the wind. And besides, wind can be very pretty of course! That veil tho' in the wind! Love it!
Backyard ceremonies are much more intimate and romantic. In this case, it was even more intimate because of the pandemic. Kirsten and Kyle were surrounded by nature & their close family members who witnessed two people pronounce their love for each other. It was magical, from the sweet vows to the first kiss. What is more romantic is that Kirsten & Kyle were married on the dock where Kyle proposed.
You would think that the pandemic, the wind, the rain, the stormy clouds would put a damper on celebrating their Wedding. Nope! Kirsten & Kyle let the day unfold as it was and just appreciated what the day offered. Being one of the brides affected by the pandemic, her words of advice and encouragement: "Make the best of it...Some days it sucked but just remember why you are getting married. It's not about the Wedding, it's about getting to spend everyday afterwards with your best friend and husband."
Thank you Kirsten and Kyle for choosing us to document your beautiful Wedding. It will be a day to remember, one of our first couples we documented during the pandemic, a scary time indeed, but love does not stop when two people fight courageously to make the most of the day they promised to love each other forever.
