This engagement session with Sarah & Josh was reminiscent of the 1920's. If you like streetcars and antique buses, this engagement location is a great idea!
We loved photographing this session! This engagement session was so unique and kinda had an old-fashioned, fun feel to it.
Sarah brought along a couple of books from the Roger Hargreaves' series "Little Miss" & "Mr." Mike and I remember reading those books when we were younger! I'm sure everyone remembers Roger Hargreaves' hilarious characters. We asked Sarah to explain her choice in the books. She said the characters match their personalities. She chuckled when explaining Josh's character of "Mr. Clever", in that he thinks he is clever but throughout the story, poor Mr. Clever is not so clever. Josh smirked and Sarah couldn't help but burst out laughing. There was a point where they exchanged books, to learn more about each other. ;)
The streetcar museum set the scene for this colorful, fun and romantic engagement session. For me, it was nice to step inside the streetcar and step back in time. I used to ride the streetcars all the time in Toronto with my mother, so it was a treat to have a whirlwind of memories come back to me. The inside of the streetcar was gorgeous, with wooden interiors and a beautiful glow about it. It just felt very antique, with a gorgeous backdrop setting the scene, almost like we were on the set of the Polar Express movie. Josh & Sarah played a cute falling in love scene at the Halton County Railway Museum. It was kinda like two people riding the streetcar, immersed in reading their books, and then kinda falling in love with each other. It was adorable to watch these two as there was lots of giggles, teasing and chuckles between the two of them.
Thank you Sarah & Josh! It was a pleasure for Mike and I to photograph your old-fashioned kinda love story! And we are super excited for your Wedding next year! :)
