If you haven't decided on a venue yet and are thinking about a Mansion Wedding, then check out Alderlea House in Brampton. Seriously, you'd think these two were Royals.Hey, if you haven't decided on a venue, then you must check out the Alderlea House in Brampton. It's a hidden gem, really. It boasts historical charm, with high ceilings, and beautiful parlour rooms with plenty of natural light.
It's a stunning venue, with elegant rooms adorned with vintage-like furniture to keep up with the vintage look and feel of the venue. This venue was on our bucket list and we're so happy that Sarah & Josh chose us to photograph their intimate and romantic Wedding. Now if you follow me on Insta, you'll know that I mentioned a few times that Sarah, to me, resembles the royal Kate. Sarah has that air of confidence about her and I think this venue was perfect for them, because their Wedding was all about charm and class. I loved Sarah's decision to scrap the shoes: she walked the entire mansion, barefoot. Her first look with Josh: barefoot. Her walk down the aisle: barefoot. Dancing in the evening: barefoot. We're glad to have captured some beautiful moments. I mean, come on, look at their first look and first dance photos. These two are smitten over each other. Of course, we had to take advantage of the beautifully adorned rooms, with the natural light flooding in from the large windows. It's nice to have an option for indoor photos. But of course, we also headed outdoors. Gage Park is just a few steps from Alderlea House, literally. Sarah & Josh had some time to steal away for a while before the nightlife began. Just soak in all the gorgeous photos and seriously check out this beautiful venue in the heart of Brampton. It's a gem of a place or should I say it's like royalty. Kind words from Sarah and Josh: Josh says: Mike fit right in with us guys and was very professional throughout. He was never afraid to recommend any shots he thought would be cool and even graciously offered his services in driving a few of us to the venue with him. He provided many helpful tips, both for life and for how to get your picture taken. Sarah says: Cecilia was amazing! So thoughtful and kind. Never forceful but providing great suggestions for photos and capturing tones of candid moments. She was lovely and friendly with all the girls and super accommodating for all my photography requests. Sarah and Josh: We would definitely recommend you guys! Our opinion was sealed when Mike asked a couple of groomsmen to bring Josh and I some water while we were taking our couple photos. You were both so professional but so easy to get along with on such an important day. How did you both meet? How did he/she propose? We met through a mutual friend when I was in my third year of university and Josh was in town visiting his old roommate. Josh proposed at the top of a giant hill during a hike at Kortright Conservation area. My family went here all the time growing up so it holds a special place in my heart. Any tips or advice for future brides and grooms? Plan plan plan! And then stop planning. You can only do so much to create your perfect day, whatever might go wrong won't matter in the end. At the end of the day you are going to be married; and that's really the whole point. Thank you Sarah and Josh for choosing us and for allowing us to be a big part of your Wedding Day. Cecilia & Mike XO
