Breathtaking views at The Club at Bond Head! Oh and can you guess this, here's a hint: Yes we ventured out in the dark for a stunning shot, before the clock struck midnight.Never mind that hint for now! (No peeking to the end!) The Club at Bond Head is a gorgeous venue for three important reasons: 1) photo opportunities are amazing, 2) the reception space is grand & the food is phenomenal, 3) the staff was super friendly and generous and encouraged us to venture out on the grounds for some gorgeous photos. It's not just a golf course, it's a melody of tall grasses, forest and streams come together. It's a beautiful golf course with so many unique places and special features that make for great photos. The staff was very courteous to take us on a golf cart tour to capture some beautiful moments with Mercedes and Branden. There was a nifty tunnel, a forested area & then we rode up to the top of the greens for a spectacular, breathtaking view of the golf course. You can also see a Behind-the -Scenes photo of how Mike captured a cool shot, requested by Mercedes. Mercedes could not have picked a more beautiful gown, from Je Vis Bridal, in Toronto. I loved how unique it was and from every angle, there was something more interesting to discover about it. One of my fave moments captured is when the ladies surrounded Mercedes as she thumbed through her boudoir album that I created for her. Back in the beginning of summer, I ventured to Newmarket to shoot her boudoir session. Of course, Branden didn't know about it, because she gave him the Boudoir album as a gift on the Wedding Day! He also gave her a gift: a stunning necklace and earrings from Peoples Jewellers. I love the warm relationship between Mercedes and her mother & Anita her Maid of Honour & BFF. In fact, Mercedes has a great relationship with all the gals, not seen here, but they had some pretty fun and candid moments, like stealing cookies from each other and playing golf. The guys definitely had a lot of fun, on the golf course, giving Branden the thumbs up and playing some golf. The ceremony was emotional, when Mercedes walked down the aisle, tearing up. And her infectious smile, when the officiant announced it was time to seal-the-deal-with-a-kiss, made everyone giggle. Sometime during the day, Mercedes asked us if we could re-create a scene for her, and sure enough we did. If you have the time to venture out with us, in the dark of night, while the party is happening inside, then who knows what kind of creative fun we can have! You'll see our famous capture and creation of the "Cinderella" shot, requested by the Bride. Branden’s take on Mike: “Amazing, he did a great job at capturing the friendships between us and had great suggestions.” Mercedes take on the Cecilia: “Unbelievable! I love how you were able to see moments that were special and capture them. I felt very safe and all the girls constantly told me they loved you!” Their take on the both of us: “You are both so kind and trustworthy. We both felt safe that you put your best foot forward and cherished our Wedding as much as we did.” How they met & the Proposal: Everything began in the summer of 2010 at Sunset Speedway. Branden added me on Facebook after seeing me with my brother I was just getting over Pneumonia at the time. We talked for about a month and quickly realized we were meant for each other. August 24th, 2010 we started dating. 6 years later we went away for an anniversary trip in Midland. We want to Awenda Provincial Park for the day. After finding a bolder in the water, Branden said let’s make a video. I was sceptical but did as he said and set my camera up on another rock. When I got back to him he knelt down and asked for me to marry him. I cried and said yes!” Funny stuff & interesting facts about them: “We get a kick out of the fact that he has never beat me at a game of mini golf! Branden has also nicknamed me monkey after my love for soc monkeys we have matching sweaters. The most memorable thing about our relationship is we have grown up together from the age of 14. We are first loves and we are more than blessed to have found our soul mates so early in life.” Any advice for couples? “Our advice is always be open with each other. Remember the wedding is only one day but the marriage also takes planning, express to each other what you expect from one another.” Thank you for mesmerizing us with your beautiful personalities, Mercedes & Branden! We enjoyed meeting the important people in your life and capturing some memorable moments! Cecilia & Mike XO Behind-the-Scenes shot of Mike capturing the above shot, and of course, with kind permission from the staff. Mercedes and Branden were pretty happy to step outside for some sunset and evening photos. And as the party was roaring inside, in the dark of night, we captured this creative, epic shot for Mercedes, re-creating the "Cinderella" classic.
