Sandra & Michael's charming personalities coupled with their whimsical Wedding was a pure delight to photograph in Caledon Ontario.Weddings in Caledon Ontario are such a delight to photograph. There are so many green spaces around the area to document your Wedding day. It's a delight to capture beautiful outdoor photos. When Sandra and Michael approached us about photographing their Wedding at Caesar's Centre in Bolton Ontario, we were over the moon excited. Their Wedding was a delight to photograph, with the vast amount of lush greenery surrounding them, to hues of purple and cranberry coloured foliage. I wish I could place all their photos in this journal, but I'm so excited to present you with some of their charming and whimsical Wedding photos in Caledon Ontario. What we love about Sandra and Michael's relationship is that they have this sweet connection, so immersed with each other like true soulmates and their love is sprinkled with this comical, competitive edge, so that you have yourself a fun-loving couple who's ready to get into the boxer's ring to swing some playfighting punches with each other. Right from the beginning, we got along so well with Sandra and Michael and the relationship quickly developed into a friendship and we knew their Wedding day would be fun and vibrant like the two of them. We start off with Sandra's beautiful getting ready photos. There was so much natural light filtering into the bedroom window, and plenty of space to lay out her beautiful veil. I love the small details that every bride chooses and Sandra's choices were elegant and classy. Sandra is a teacher, and she poured all her creativity and organizational skills into creating her dream wedding. I was happy to document her time before her walk down the aisle to become Mrs. Pincente. Sandra: "Cecilia was a dream to work with! Her creative eye and easy going attitude made our getting ready pictures a breeze. She was sure to pay attention to every little detail and went along with all the fun shots I was hoping to capture while being mindful of the time. I continue to get many compliments from my family and friends on how great she was with everyone." Mike photographed Michael's getting ready portraits. I just love the relationship that Mike captured between Michael and his parents and brother. Family is important to document and Mike's technique on capturing the family bond was phenomenal. Might I add, those groomsmen looked awesome all clad in grey suits while the ladies looked stellar in pastel turquoise. I know it's hard sometimes to pick a colour scheme, but Sandra and Michael nailed it! Michael: "Mike was very natural, easy going and non-intrusive. There was not a lot of robotics with his direction, it was very easy to pose. His personality is very easy going and he was a great guy to work with. Very open-mined and very insightful. He has a keen creative eye, and captured shots that others would not have seen by the average photographer. He is very personable and down to earth. Very genuine guy. My mom still talks about how wonderful he was the morning of our wedding, nothing but great things to say about him and Cecilia!" Father and Son...a different approach to documenting the day, editorial style. Sandra & Michael: How it all began... "Michael and I have had the same group of mutual friends for a number of years, so we’ve always known each other but never considered each other for any sort of romantic relationship. Fast forward to the fall of 2015 where neither one of us were looking for a relationship, but it was the time where everything changed. After hosting friendsgiving, Michael “accidently” (I use the quotes because he insists it was an accident – the rest of us don’t believe it ha ha) left his sunglasses at my house, so he came back the next day to pick them up. Now it had been nice weather, so I decided to hang the Christmas lights (you know so my fingers didn’t freeze once the cold weather set in) and when Michael came to get his sunglasses he offered to stay and help me with the lights. That got us talking, which then led to him coming back to watch the Jays game, and the rest as they say, is history! It’s amazing how one’s perception of a person can be so easily changed once you actually get to know them. We are truly the definition of things happen when you least expect it." The Proposal... "Michael’s proposal is kind of a long-winded story. You see it took Michael two attempts before he could actually propose because I knew it was coming and did everything I could to make him not do it. I got super nervous, I needed to be sure he was who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. So, it all started with a book that I had made him a few years ago. It’s one of those LoveBook Online books, with the stick people that look like us and pages that tell the story of all the things I love about him. Now this book always sat on his bookshelf in his room, never moved. One evening, we were hanging out and watching the Jays game in his room and he walks in and picks up this book and starts reading it. Right away I was on alert, my face got instantly hot and I had a million things running through my mind. He sits down next to me and continues reading this book and when he gets to the end he tells me there’s something extra in the book and asks me to check it out. Now, I made this book so I know for certain there is nothing extra hidden in the back of the book, so I say no and continue watching the game. He then continues to insist that there was something extra in the book and for me to read it. I kept saying no, until it got to the point where he was so mad at me that he gave up and put the book back. I ended up falling asleep part way through the game, and (this is what he told me afterwards) he took the ring box out of his pocket and kept asking himself where he went wrong. He even took the box, opened it, and laid it on me staring at it while I slept. I left his house that night knowing he was mad at me, so the next morning when we talked I told him I was coming over after work so we could talk. Once again, he brought up the book and after arguing over there being nothing in the book he finally said “ya, you want to see what's in the book?” so I gave in a said “fine.” He brings me the book and gets me to read it, stopping at the last page. When he was ready he asked me to turn the page and there he wrote “Chapter II” and after struggling to get the ring box out of his pocket (it got caught in his track pants) he had me turn the page and there he wrote “will you marry me? yes or yes.” Didn’t leave me with much choice, right?!" Their Love Story... "Michael and I have this thing where when we say “I love you” it often goes something like this: “love you” “love you more” “love you most” It’s cute and honestly just thought it was our own corny way of one upping the other person (we’re both quite competitive in nature). But on our wedding day, when we went to open the cards we got for each other, “love you most” took on a whole different meaning. You see, we somehow managed to get each other the exact same card – no joke! The front of the card has 2 s’mores, one that says “love you” the other says “love you s’more” and on the inside it says “love you most.” Out of all the cards in the store, and all the stores that sell cards, we both picked out the same one." You know you are soulmates when you buy the same card for each other on your Wedding Day! Sandra and Michael chose Caesar's Centre in Caledon Ontario as their venue. It's such a beautiful venue and it's not our first time photographing a Wedding here. We love the sleek look and cool architecture of Caesar's Centre. It's a simple and smart room set-up. You can style the entire space with any Wedding décor or colour scheme as it is a neutral yet elegant space. Sandra & Michael's tips for future Brides and Grooms... "Don’t stress. Easier said than done, I know. But honestly, don’t stress. You’re wedding day goes by so fast that you want to be able to enjoy it. You are surrounded by people who love and support you and are there to celebrate your happiness. They will never know if something isn’t exactly as you planned, so why stress over it? Be sure to take a moment, or two, or three, and just take in the entire day. This is a huge milestone in your life, and it goes by faster than you can blink! Take a moment, just the two of you, to take in the atmosphere around you. The people who have filled the room to celebrate your love and happiness with you. They want to be there, and they truly care about you guys. Eat! Everyone says “you won't eat on your wedding day,” well I’m here to tell you that those people are wrong! I ate all day, 3 times at breakfast while getting ready, in the limo on the way to pictures and every single course we had at the hall. You picked the best food, paid for the best food, you should eat the best food too! Michael was so nervous he didn’t have much of an appetite to eat, but looking back, he sure does wish he had eaten more of the food. So, eat!" About how they feel about us...
"There aren’t enough words to explain the amount of joy we feel when we talk about Mike and Cecilia. Their attention to detail, creative eye and openness to try anything we wanted added to the memories we made that day. Our pictures are above and beyond anything we could have imagined and we are so thrilled to have had them photograph such a milestone in our life. From seeing their work online, to meeting in person and seeing the samples Cecilia had brought for us, Michael knew I was set on going with them. But, for good measure, we shopped around just to be sure. Every other company we met with kept getting compared to Mike and Cecilia so we finally said enough was enough and set the wheels in motion. We knew from our engagement pictures that we had made the right choice and are most definitely not disappointed. We would 1000% recommend Mike and Cecilia to anyone looking for photography. As Michael puts it, they are normal people, doing what they love and sharing it with those around them. What you see, is what you get, and that’s why we love them!" Our couples are truly so wonderful to work with. Sandra and Michael are such a fun couple, so real and genuine with their emotions and we are honoured to have beautiful couples like them, who become good friends as well. We can't wait to document more of thier special moments in life! Cecilia & Mike XO
