Sarah & James' Romantic Wedding: Toronto Wedding Photographers at the Danish Lutheran Church, Toronto
Oh my gosh! We can't stop gushing how romantic Sarah & James' Wedding was, surrounded by gorgeous greenery, at the Danish Lutheran Church in Toronto.
You haven't seen romantic until now. Sarah & James' Wedding was simple, sweet and filled with beautiful moments. Sarah chose her two sisters, Julia & Emily to be MOH and bridesmaid. These three sisters were so wonderful to watch as they attended to their sister. I could tell they were a tightknit bunch, from helping Sarah with her makeup, right up to chit-chatting on the sofa and giggling at just about anything.
Flashback to how James and Sarah met and the proposal:
"We met in college in 2008, although we didn't start dating until 2 years later, October 7, 2010. James proposed on February 6, 2017, while we were camping in a yurt at McGregor Point Provincial Park, near Port Elgin, Ontario. We wend for a snowshoe hike out to Sunset Point along the shore of Lake Huron where he asked me to marry him."
Sarah & James chose a beautiful place to get married: The Danish Lutheran Church in Toronto. There are many intriguing traditions that we learned about the Danish community and its' church ceremony. For example, two chairs were placed on the left and right by the altar. Sarah and James sat facing each other, but with a significant distance between them. When the Pastor united them with a handholding tradition, only then could they be seated together, Sarah joining James on the other side.
The grounds of the Danish Lutheran Church were a beautiful sight, with gorgeous greenery as a backdrop. The community was kind and welcoming, and had no qualms about Sarah & James wandering around the church grounds, only to find a swing set where Sarah & James took advantage of their romantic adventure.
Once the Wedding bunch united, it was more fun and laughs throughout the day. Joining the lovely sisters and the groom was the Bride's brother, George and the groom's brother, Ian. It was all about family with this Wedding and we enjoyed getting to know everyone.
Of course, Mike decided to wander off for a few minutes to find a cosy spot for the couple to cuddle for a bit. On the church grounds, he found a cool stairway. Sarah & James were happy to follow Mike and well, you can see the results down below. The fun and excitement that the couple experienced to get these beautiful shots is why we do what we do.
Continuing on with their Wedding adventure, I thought it would be cool to grab the couple for some quiet time. I wanted to see how the grounds looked at night. Sarah and James had some alone-time as they took an evening stroll. I just love the romantic look of the photos and the closeness these two shared with always be remembered, leaving their guests for awhile.
